Seilerholmen

The epicenter of the event.

We will provide shuttleboats for transport of people and equipment between Granholmen and Seilerholmen. It takes only a few minutes.

We may provide  transportation from town to Seilerholmen in the morning, and back to town in the evening. This service is provided by means of boats and will only happen in the following schedule:

• Departure town: 08:30

• Departure Seilerholmen: 18:00

• Pickup point in town

It takes about 20 minutes by boat from town to Seilerholmen.

During the event, all WASZPs to be parked in designated areas on the island.

You will find social areas, food and drink serving, changing rooms and toilet facilites at the island.

WASZP PARK

The WASZP Park is divided into 4 areas, and all WASZPs neeed to be parked on its designated area (numbers i brackets).

• Area 1: DEN (5), NOR (22) and SWE (8)

• Area 2 & 4: AUS (3), BAH (1), CAN (5), CRO (1), GBR (20), GER (20), NZL (2), POL (1), SLO (1), SUI (7), USA (4)

• Area 3:

  • WASZP 6.9:  AUS (1), CAN (2), DEN (1), GBR (3), ITA (7), NOR (3), SUI (1), SWE (2), USA (1)

  • WASZP 8.2: ESP (15), FRA (15), IRL (2), ITA (20), NED (1)

As you may have noticed, the WASZP Spare Shop (6) is allready at the island

It is manned daily 0930 - 1800.

5 knot speed limit - life vests are mandatory

Between Granholmen and Seilerholmen, there is 5 knot speed limit by rules and regulations. Local police and coastguard is patroling the area now and then. Life vests are also mandatory in Norway.

medical assistance

During the event, we have an event doctor available at Seilerholmen. We can only provide simple support such as plasters and the like for small wounds or sprains. Show up at the regatta office if you need medical assistance.

If in urgent, call 113 (medical emergency) - we will assist with boat transport to shoreside if necessary.

There will be a separate safety plan for the event out on the race areas. This will be issued in due time before racing.

Navigating in the fjord

Be aware, there are many reefs and shallow areas in the fjord. Especially near islets and skerries. Check the map before your traning or competition.

Realtime bus departures

Bus line # 4 is the one that have bus stop at Granholmen. Just ask the bus driver to announce when arriving Granholmen.

There is a "MENY" supermarket at the bus stop.

Travel planner is a useful tool provided by the transportation company.
